BACKGROUND: "It's time to pay the piper!"
INCENTIVE:

Hartley thinks he had pretty much the perfect life before the accident. He liked his work, he liked his boss and while everyone else disliked him he didn't particularly care. And his family disowned him for being who he is so good riddance to them, he doesn't want them back. But he was the golden boy before he was fired and he wants to go back to that. The way he sees it everything was taken away from him for the second time. The first time because he didn't hide his sexuality, this time because he did the right thing and warned Wells about the particle accelerator. He doesn't know Wells needed the accelerator explosion to go back to the future so no warning would have changed that.

So basically, he wants to stop the particle accelerator from exploding. The way he sees it life keeps throwing him lemons just for being himself and he's done with that. He wanted to make his own path back home and run away, but he'll take a second change as well. It'll steal his powers, and Barry's, but he never asked for them to begin with and he'd like his hearing back too tyvm.

FIT:

Hartley is gay and very open about his sexuality. He's rash and abrasive with people he considers below him (so mostly everyone) so he isn't going to make friends with everyone and jump around holding hands but he's definitely going to try to get laid with hot men please and thank you. We have no reason to think he sleeps around a lot but he doesn't seem to be shy when it comes to flirting either. Honestly you always have to stop and think if he's insulting or flirting with you and the truth is he's probably doing both at the same time because that's how he rolls. So yes, he's going to have 0 problems in that regard.

As for informed consent we have no reason to think he wouldn't understand that. He's kind of a pissed off, tantrum-throwing young man and he does try to kill Barry, but nothing of a forceful sexual nature. He mentions leather in a sexual context in canon at some point, so he miiight be into that but it could be a joke, and it'd be consensual anyway. Honestly he's gone through so much just for admitting to who he is I can't imagine him forcing it on anyone. He's a villain, but not that kind of villain.

ANYTHING ELSE? I assume it's ok for Hartley to come with his hearing aid? It can me modified so he's not able to use it as a weapon and I'm more than ok with him not bringing the sonic gloves with him but he's going to be overwhelmed by every little sound without the hearing aid.
